Patrick, 5th century missionary, evangelist, pastor, and church leader about whom everybody knows something, but hardly anyone puts much stock in the anecdotes and tales that surround his name. Patrick was perhaps the greatest saint of the 5th century, although he consistently referred to himself as a sinner and a rustic, lavished upon by the grace of God, chosen, appointed, and sent to a work beyond any of his contemporaries’ wildest imaginations, a work in which he largely succeeded. Here is a story of great faith and remarkable blessing that holds rich promise for believers.
