And Ahab called Obadiah, who was over the household. (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly, and when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water.)
Many of us work in Ahabish environments where we are continuously faced with the tension between opposing worldviews. Are we Obadiahs in our personal mission fields, assiduously searching for opportunities to bring the fear of the LORD to bear in every aspect of our lives?
Do you ever wonder about other opportunities for Obadiah to act as an intermediary? I suspect that there were many, but the Spirit caused this one to be recorded as an encouragement to me.
Today's readings in the Psalms:
Morning: Psalm 132
Mid-day: 119:169-176
