I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another. But on some points I have written to you very boldly by way of reminder, because of the grace given me by God to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

To sanctify—to set apart, to make holy, to consecrate. The Holy Spirit is the agency through with the LORD, God, the Almighty sets apart a people unto Himself. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit I can look back at who or what I was; I can conduct a serious examination of who or what I have become, and He gives me insight into what or who I will become. Step by step as the Spirit reminds me and leads me into all Truth. John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
