I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.

I have been delivered from all my fears of those things that go bump in the night. All the unknowns, all the might and could be, all the catastrophizing. Gone! An immediate benefit of living under the umbrella of the Fear of the LORD, God, the Almighty.

If I accept the gift, sometimes I don't want to trouble the LORD with that pesky little problem; sometimes I find that I enjoy worrying about how to resolve an issue; sometimes, my pride gets in the way. Sometimes, I refuse to hear that thunderous voice, "TRUST ME." Oft times, the old John thrusts himself between the fear and the Word of the LORD.
