Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.
I doubt if there was ever a Christmas Day in my child or young adulthood that the truth of this simple statement soaked into me. Even on Christmas Day, they would have been so pleased to see me treat my siblings in accordance with the 5thCommandment.
Now, decades later, this precious commandment has taken on a far richer meaning to me, even though Mom and Dad have been with the Lord for many years. I still need to demonstrate the love of the LORD to Joe, Marcia, Tom, Nelda and Steve. I still frequently need fine tuning.
