The goodness of God endures continually.

The righteous also shall see and fear, And shall laugh at him, saying, "Here is the man who did not make God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness."

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever. I will praise You forever, Because You have done it; And in the presence of Your saints I will wait on Your name, for it is good.

What a vision between contrasting kingdoms. The Kingdom of Evil vs the Mercy of God. The former is a constant exertion, the latter a life of mercy and grace.

I heard a request for prayer last night for a man in his very last days, absolutely trusting in his own goodness and refusing the gift of the LORD. How can I face eminent death where I will be face to face with the Father of all Glory and demand that He rule in my favor?

No, in the presence of the LORD, God, the Almighty, I will fall on my face, raise my voice in praise and accept His great mercy.
