Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them. The unfolding of Your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple. I open my mouth and pant, because I long for Your commandments.

I do long for your commandments, Lord, I long to be obedient to them and through that obedience demonstrate my love for You and my gratefulness but I am weak and easily distracted. I continue to give lip service to You and turn to my own devices and solutions. Open the eyes of my heart so that I can see Your glory, open the ears of my heart so I can hear Your gentle and soft word leading me into the paths of righteousness.
