Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
I'm not kidding anyone, least of all the LORD, God the Almighty, about my doubts. He says, “Look, see the proof and believe.” Thomas' response, “My Lord and my God” must be mine.
It is not the doubt that is offensive but the refusal to accept the demonstration, the proof of the truth. “Lord, I see and I believe” must be my heartfelt and life transforming response.
