Psalm 119:176

August 31, 2013

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant, for I do not forget your commandments.

Yes, I do lose my way, but You, a most gracious Lord, call me back to You. You bring me back into communion with You and restore me to the fellowship of the saints. Praise You, my Lord and Master.

Psalm 119:175

August 30, 2013

Let my soul live and praise you, and let your rules help me.

Another verse emphasizing the connection between praise and right living. It is impossible for me to live a Kingdom life without the praises of God filling my mouth. Help me, Lord.

Psalm 119:174

August 29, 2013

I long for your salvation, O LORD, and your law is my delight.

Yes, Lord, I long for Your return but until then I am guided by Your Word along the King's Highway.

Psalm 119:172, 173

August 28, 2013

My tongue will sing of your word, for all your commandments are right.

Lord, I must not hold in the glories and beauties of Your Word and the completeness of Your commandments. They must fill my mouth with constant praise.

Let your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts.

Calling on Your promises to guide me in the Way of the Kingdom. Give me wisdom and discretion regarding the application of Your precepts to every aspect of my life.

Psalm 119:171

August 27, 2013

My lips will pour forth praise, for you teach me your statutes.

Your statutes, those good and perfect and righteous statutes, those precepts defining life in the Kingdom of God, a life of Shalom.  You provided a ransom for my sins, a Guide for my life and promised eternal life iin Your Presence.   Hallelujah

Psalm 119:169, 170

August 26, 2013

Let my cry come before you, O LORD; give me understanding according to your word!

It is one of Your promises, Lord, that the Holy Spirit will guide me into all understanding. It has been a continuous process and will continue into the future. Hallelujah!

Let my plea come before you; deliver me according to your word.

What a Word, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” When You are missing from my life, it is because I have stopped my ears, closed my eyes and determined to go according to my desires.

Tal Psalms 119:169-176

August 25, 2013

Let my cry come before you, O LORD; give me understanding according to your word! Let my plea come before you; deliver me according to your word. My lips will pour forth praise, for you teach me your statutes. My tongue will sing of your word, for all your commandments are right. Let your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts. I long for your salvation, O LORD, and your law is my delight. Let my soul live and praise you, and let your rules help me. I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant, for I do not forget your commandments.

Your Word, O, Lord, a lamp to my feet and a guide to my path,.

Your Word, O, Lord, a psalter of praise and thanksgiving.

Your Word, O, Lord, a table set before me in the presence of my enemies.

Your Word, O, Lord, a shield about me and a two-edged sword in my hands.

Your Word, O, Lord, a refuge from the assaults of the Evil One.

Your Word, O, Lord, a place of righteousness, peace and joy.

Your Word, O, Lord, a precious gift to Your people.

Praise You, my Lord and Master.

Psalm 119:53

August 25, 2013

Hot indignation seizes me because of the wicked, who forsake your law.

What is causing me distress, I don't know about hot indignation, is those who claim to be in Your Church but seek You second... or third … or …. What is it, Lord, that diverts so many from putting You first in their lives? Am I included in that count?

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!

Let Your glory be manifest to all Creation. The Day is coming where all will acknowledge that Jesus the Christ is Lord. A prayer is that today will be the Day for Judi, my children and grandchildren.

Psalm 57:7-10

August 23, 2013

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast! I will sing and make melody! Awake, my glory! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn! I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. For your steadfast love is great to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.

Yes, one of my weakness is a lack of living in an attitude of praise and thanksgiving. I quote Ps 149:6 frequently but live it infrequently. How can I be so callous towards the One who gives me life? Help me. Lord.

They set a net for my steps; my soul was bowed down. They dug a pit in my way, but they have fallen into it themselves. Selah

O, that those who contend against You would find themselves hoist by their own petard. Let them be confounded by their own machinations and entangled by their own snares.

Psalm 57:1-5

August 21, 2013

To the choirmaster: according to Do Not Destroy. A Miktam of David, when he fled from Saul, in the cave. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, till the storms of destruction pass by. I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me. He will send from heaven and save me; he will put to shame him who tramples on me. Selah God will send out his steadfast love and his faithfulness! My soul is in the midst of lions; I lie down amid fiery beasts-- the children of man, whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!

Lord, I know this day will be filled with opportunities to live in violation of Your Law, that there will be moments of lust, greed, covetousness, self-will and all other manifestations of my fallen nature. I also know, that if I am faithful to to guidance of the Holy Spirit that these temptations will be surmountable. Lord, that I will find joy in the victory, knowing that it is through the strength that You provide and the willingness to repent when I have failed.
