To Glorify God

What does it mean to glorify God in our lives?

I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. Jeremiah 30.19 (NKJV)

In this passage, to glorify something is contrasted with making it small, ignoble, dishonorable, or of little or no consequence.

To glorify something thus is to make it large, prominent, honored, and distinguished.

We glorify God, therefore, when we give Him the largest place in our lives, acknowledging His presence, remarking His virtues and praises, heeding His counsel, celebrating His works, and pointing out the evidence of His beauty, goodness, and truth on every hand.

We glorify Him when His Word and will are prominent and formative in all our words and works.

To glorify God is to make Him large our lives, the center, focal point, motive power, fullness, and end of all we are and do.

How will you make God large, prominent, and honored in your life today?
