Eastertide: Clean From All Uncleanness

Rusty Rabon

WHITER THAN SNOW (James Nicholson)
Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole;
I want Thee forever to live in my soul.
Break down every idol, cast out every foe.
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Lord Jesus, look down from Thy throne in the skies,
And help me to make a complete sacrifice.
I give up myself, and whatever I know.
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 NRSV
I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances.

Lord Jesus, for this I most humbly entreat;
I wait, blessed Lord, at Thy crucified feet.
By faith, for my cleansing I see Thy blood flow.
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Lord Jesus, Thou see-est I patiently wait;
Come now and within me a new heart create.
To those who have sought Thee, Thou never saidst “No.”
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Psalm 43:3-5 NRSV
O send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; and I will praise you with the harp, O God, my God. Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my help and my God.

Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow.
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.
