A Kingdom Catechism

The Ten Commandments are the cornerstone of God’s Law.

Q 6: What is the place of the Ten Commandments in the Law of God?

A 6: The Ten Commandments are the constitutional foundation and basis of all the Law of God, and of all the rest of Scripture. (Matt. 22.34-40)

We have spoken to this previously. The Ten Commandments are the Magna Charta of the Law of God, the Constitution to the body of statutes which develops from it. The Ten Commandments have abiding validity, including the fourth commandment – although, as we shall see, this commandment has undergone significant change in keeping with the progress of God’s covenant.
