Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, (2) and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you–unless you believed in vain.
“unless I believed in vain.” Lord, I know I am secure in my salvation but I sure know from experience that I can lose the joy of that salvation. Praise You, my Lord and Master for the gift of the Holy Spirit to teach me and guide me, to remind me of all that You have said to me. Help me to hold fast to what is preached to me.
