The LORD kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up. The LORD makes poor and makes rich; he brings low and he exalts.
There is no aspect of the Creation over which the LORD's power is not complete–from the existence of life to the ordering of a culture. Yes, sometimes He allows us to follow our own willful desires and suffer the consequences, but sometimes he chooses to provide a Samuel. Oh, that He would provide a Godly individual to lead this nation but it will not happen so long as we insist on defying His Word.
