What is the deposit entrusted to Timothy? The caveats are covered in 1 Timothy 6:1-10 and Paul's counsel is summed up in:
1 Timothy 6:11-12 But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
That advice extends through the centuries to me. My marching orders as an Ambassador of Reconciliation, posted to the Kingdom of Heaven in the Here and Now.May I faithfully execute my responsibilities.
