2 Corinthians 13:11-14

John Nunnikhoven

Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

The last sentence is Paul's prayer at the conclusion of 2 Corinthians. It should be my constant prayer for my brothers and sisters in the Lord. However, shouldn't my daily prayers also include prayers for any restoration necessary in the community where we worship? Prayers that it should be a community where a spirit of comfort exists; a community of agreement and peace? Prayers that the God of love and peace will be evident to all who come in contact with the community?
