"But if you will not obey the voice of the LORD your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you.
Yes, the favor of the LORD, God the Almighty does rest upon His people (see yesterday), but I can lose that favor when I deliberately disobey Him. I need to be listening for that quiet voice of the Spirit to point out that I have strayed. Proverbs 28:9 "If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination." is a strong warning against deliberate disobedience.
