Ephesians 4:1-3

John Nunnikhoven

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Humility, gentleness, patience, and love! Anybody want to hear my very humble address describing how I achieved an exceptional degree of gentleness, moderated by the patient application of love for my fellowman? It is a very modest statement, considering my extreme success in these areas.

Unfortunately–In my dreams. That's where the problem begins as I review my attitude regarding the display of this Godly demeanor. The Holy Spirit needs to continue the transformation.

Today's readings in the Psalms:

Morning: Psalm 139

Mid-day: 119:153-160

Evening: Psalm 64
