Galatians 3:13-14

John Nunnikhoven

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

I received the Holy Spirit through faith; it had absolutely nothing to do with who I was or how I led my life. However, having received the Spirit, I am charged with living my life in a way that honors the LORD, God the Almighty. I am to pursue the advancement of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth as it is in Heaven. I understand—now do it.
