The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
Three short, little verses, but encapsulating Part 1 of the Story of Man (Part 2 was announced at the entry of an empty tomb in Jerusalem many centuries later.) And we find within it some very important points regarding our ongoing examination of faith/belief/trust/obey/commit.
Interesting–we are the original Greens, we are charged with working and KEEPING God's masterpiece, the Creation. We are called to supervise the Godly usage and application of the resources; applying them in ways that glorify God and advance His Kingdom.
.Lord, guide me as I go through my day, it is so easy to get distracted and take the convenient path. Help me to consider everything I put my hand to in terms of the impact upon Your beautiful masterpiece.
