And the LORD appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of Abraham your father. Fear not, for I am with you and will bless you and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham's sake.”
The Fear of the LORD, God the Almighty releases us from fear of the unknown and uncertainty of life in a fallen world. It is the summary term for a life lived in belief/trust/commitment/obedience to the LORD. It is the life of faith in the Word of God.
As I wrote the above and contemplated the implications, I was overcome with a sense of completion. Have you ever experienced the special sound that accompanies the insertion of the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle? Now to begin to appreciate and apply the beauty of the picture being revealed.
