Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
“Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses…” and a cloud that contains far more witnesses than are included in Hebrews 11:13-40, I am called to strip myself of every impediment and live for the Glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. I must keep before me those who suffer grievously for His Namesake today, I must be ever aware that what I am called to endure is trivial in the greater scheme of the Body. Guide me, Holy Spirit .
