There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.
My name is John and I have been sent by God, as was John the Baptizer, to be a witness to the Light. Lord, may my witness be as unswerving as that John’s, even unto death.
