Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
Part of our problem is that we don't understand the wrath of God and all that implies. We don't comprehend what a fearful thing it is to fall into the hands of the living God Hebrews 10:31. We, in our modern complacency and conviction of an all forgiving God, refuse to believe that the LORD, God the Almighty is exactly that and cannot be in the presence of the unholy and unrighteous.
