And He said to them, "To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, 'all things' come in parables,
In a sense, for those in the Kingdom of God, there are no mysteries; all is revealed in due time. In the meantime, we rely on the Word, God said it and therefore, it must be so.
There is another observation that is beginning to take shape. That is the the majority of the 'all things' catagories deal with the LORD, God, the Almighty's beneficence towards the people of the Kingdom of God. We are the sheep of His pasture.
Now, to the outsider, many of the parables have a deadly sting. Not just the ouch of a mosquito, but often the fatal lash of the scorpion. Think of the Parable of the Sower and the fate of several catagories of seed. I’m drawn to the seed that falls on fertile ground; the rebellious unbeliever must likewise be drawn to the fate of seed that falls on hostile ground. The reaction is anger towards God, even the development of theologies that eliminated the LORD, God, the Almighty from the picture.
That’s not nonsense. Where does the LORD fit into the malarky of evolution? He does not. The parable is beyond the ability of unbeliever to comprehend. And he refuses to accept that God said it, therefore it must be true whether I understand or not.
