Matthew 7:22-23

John Nunnikhoven

On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'

" you workers of lawlessness" That's harsh, not very politically correct. Didn't Jesus realize that it is not nice to tell someone that they're lost and headed in the wrong direction? Or did His heart break for those who are unwilling to trust Him in all things? Unwilling to trust Him for their next sandwich let alone their eternal life?

Today's readings in the Psalms:

Morning: Psalm 3

Mid-day: 119:9-16

Evening: Psalm 78
