Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! Psalms 1:1-3

John Nunnikhoven

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

Or for starters, don't keep company with those who despise and sneer at the work of the LORD. Don't be a Sunday Christian; one of those who serves a 45 minute obligation to sit in a pew each Sunday morning, but whose fervant prayer is that the sermon will not interfere with his Sunday afternoon golf date.

The latter or its equivalant is a sure marker of an unGodly life lived Monday to Saturday. Pity his co-workers who are frequently treated to outbursts of temper and foul language.

No, our LORD's wish for a worshipful community is one of consistency in their lives lived for Him on a 7/24/365 day basis.
