Whoever belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent. Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered.
I have been considering the importance of trusting the LORD, God, the Almighty in all aspects of my life, but what I see here is that trust in the LORD must be reflected in my life. It is well and good for me to tell someone that I am trusting in the LORD to meet my needs, but do my actions and mode of conduct provide a basis for them to trust me? Can they confide in me to counsel and pray for them without spreading their problem far and wide?
Today's readings in the Psalms:
