Proverbs 25:19

John Nunnikhoven

Trusting in a treacherous man in time of trouble is like a bad tooth or a foot that slips.

I think the question here that is being addressed by King Solomon is whether or not I can trust the advice and counsel of someone who does not trust the LORD, God, the Almighty? The correct answer is that I cannot, I should not and I must not. But I'm afraid that the recently "ended" political campaigns have demonstrated all too well that many who declare that they are Christians believe that there is a separation between life as lived and faith as proclaimed.

Today's readings in the Psalms:

Morning: Psalm 54

Mid-day: 119:25-32

Evening: Psalm 130
