Psalm 103:15-18
As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field;for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more. But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep His covenant and remember to do His commandments.
Man whose day are like grass, blown and bending with every breeze, cut by the reaper’s scythe, sent tumbling to an unknown end. Yet overly taken by his own importance, man stands defiant, claiming his own godness, but to no avail. He leaves no mark upon the creation.
But Your love, my LORD, stands steady and firm against all, giving succor and comfort to all who seek You and live according to Your word. It is a love that existed before time began and will continue beyond the end of time, given without reservation to Your covenant people.
Praise You, LORD, God Almighty.
