With my lips I declare all the rules of Your mouth.
O Lord, that I would take this to heart today, fully accepting the truth and importance of this short little verse. It is so easy to say that it is the way I live that provides a testimony to you, that is both true and necessary, but it is insufficient. I cannot stop there, Lord, I must declare that it is Your goodness that is exhibited in me, I must shout that it is all the wisdom and goodness that comes from Your mouth, I must cry out that You are Lord of my life and to You alone, I am obedient.
To do otherwise is to plagiarize and to take credit for Your grace and mercy. Help me, Lord, keep me from adding more layers of this sin to my life.
