With my lips I declare all the rules of Your mouth.
You are calling me, my Lord, to teach Your word in the place where You have set me. The rules of Your mouth are the Truth that reveals the well-ordered workings of Your Kingdom. I am to declare that Truth by being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks for a reason for the hope that is in me; yet doing it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when I am slandered, those who revile my good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.
