Let your steadfast love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise; then shall I have an answer for him who taunts me, for I trust in your word.
The one who taunts me is the Father of Lies. He and his minions are tireless agents of the original sin, the sin that I can be as a god. The belief that I, a created being, can be as a creator. Delusion, pure delusion. Not only delusion but foolishness.
Lord, keep me from my foolishness, keep from the delusion, save me from my folly; let Your steadfast love come to me according to Your promise.
