I know, O LORD, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me. Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant. Let your mercy come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight.
Lord, I cry out to You in the depths of my despair over my son's marriage. I know and accept that all things work for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose, but it is hard. So hard to see them going through this, to think of the impact on their children—Lord, heal them all and Betty and me too!
