Psalm 139:13-16

John Nunnikhoven

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

I have no problem accepting and understanding that I am fearfully and wonderfully made; the more I know about the intricate thing that is the human body, the more I grow in understanding of the beauty of Your design. But to fully comprehend and trust that You completely laid out all my days before there were none of them; to comprehend and trust that Your plan for me is to do me good and not to do me harm; ah, there is where I must continually remind myself of that thunderous “Trust Me!

Praise You, LORD God Almighty.
