Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
This is not a promise from You but a statement of the hope that lies within me. I know that goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and that I shall dwell in Your house forever. An expectation with the knowledge of the certainty of fulfillment. Moreover, it is an expectation that I see met each day through prayers answered, pitfalls avoided, words of guidance from the Holy Spirit, freedom from anxiety and provision of my needs.
You are indeed, my Shepherd.
