Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me! For you are the God in whom I take refuge; why have you rejected me? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
Lord, I must not be in mourning when the Evil One assaults me, You do not reject me but are with me to guide me when I listen and obey, to hold my hand and instruct me as I timidly step out in faith. Why do I let the oppression of the Evil One frighten and depress me? I must rejoic.e that I am blessed to suffer for Your Namesakes.
