O God, you have rejected us, broken our defenses; You have been angry; oh, restore us. You have made the land to quake; You have torn it open; repair its breaches, for it totters. You have made your people see hard things; You have given us wine to drink that made us stagger.
Lord, we see the seen, not the unseen. So we see all crumbling around us, the Church of Christendom in decay, morals, and ethics based solely on self-interest mirroring the culture in which it exists. And as a result, we wring our hands, declaring that all is lost. We see the triumph of Satan and the capitulation of the Kingdom; we refuse to live within the borders of the Kingdom; our faith is a weak reed that collapses each Sunday morning at noon.
