For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper. He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy. From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight.
Even now, in the yet, while we await the not yet, we see Your grace and mercy at work in the lives of Your people. You lift us up, shower us with creature comforts as needed, ransoming our lives from the bondage of the evil one, and holding us in the palm of Your hand. Thank You, Lord, for the redemption that brings meaning and purpose to my life.
