How long, O LORD? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire? Pour out your anger on the nations that do not know you, and on the kingdoms that do not call upon your name! For they have devoured Jacob and laid waste his habitation.
Lord, You know Your Church is weak and easily dissuaded from the Path of Righteousness. You know that the fool’s gold of the world is far more accessible and desirable in our eyes than the pure Gold refined in the fire. Direct our anger towards those who would call us away from You; lead us in the way we should go.
