The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
What beautiful pairings in this verse. As I think about the relationship between Him as my strength and shield, it is no wonder that my heart is moved into a spirit of trust resulting in an awareness of His help. My being is moved to an exultation that can only be expressed in a song of thanksgiving and praise.
