For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name.
I find it easier to trust in the transitory, rather than in the transcendent. Far easier to trust God to provide funds to pay my mortgage than to trust in His goodness. Yet it is that trust in the numinous that evokes the gladness of heart.
