To the choirmaster. Of David, the servant of the LORD. Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes.
David realized that transgression numbs the soul; So often, a little white lie leads to flagrant disregard for the Word of the LORD. It cannot be otherwise, for I am a sinful creature, carrying the burden of the sin of Adam and Eve. The Fear of the LORD, God the Almighty cannot exist in an environment of sin.
