Psalms 78:21-22

John Nunnikhoven

Therefore, when the LORD heard, he was full of wrath; a fire was kindled against Jacob; his anger rose against Israel, because they did not believe in God and did not trust his saving power.

There have been a few times in my life where someone has obviously not believed that I could or would deliver on a promise. Often they were right, but in all cases, my pride was hurt. How, could they not trust me? Hmm, demonstrated performance might explain most of their doubts.

Likewise, demonstrated performance explains why the LORD, God the Almighty is worthy of trust. His Word is yea and amen. He has stated unequivocally that He will never leave me nor forsake me.

My distrust does fill Him with wrath that only the Blood of Jesus can protect me from.
