For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but God.
I can blather all I want about what a great Christian I am but unless the Spirit has transformed my heart, the very center of my being, it is nothing but blithers. However, I find that having experienced that transformation, my soul yearns to have my Father say to me, "Well done, son." The appropriation of man becomes insignificant. What a change, but one which is still a work in process.
Today's readings in the Psalms:
Morning: Psalm 102
Mid-day: 119:73-80
