Romans 4:19-22
He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb. No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. That is why his faith was "counted to him as righteousness."
How often do I let my assessment of a situation override my trust in the promises of God? Well, Paul obviously did not consider the impossibility and the impracticality of (whatever). Yes, I know Ephesians 3:20says"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us" but that can't apply to this situation.
Or does it?????
Abraham thought so and long before IVF.
Maybe I'm not smarter than God. Maybe He does supply the power that is at work within me–if I trust Him.
What do you think?
