For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
Yes, I am reveling in the firstfruits of my salvation, the life of righteousness, peace, and joy that is life in the Spirit in the Kingdom here and now. But oh what joy awaits me when I shuck off this worn and abused hulk. No more aches and pains thinly masked by drugs, potions, and homemade nostrums, but a new body unspoiled by Sin.
