Romans 8:28

John Nunnikhoven

And we know that for those who love God all thingswork together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Does that little phrase "all things" jump out at you like it does me. Was Paul really directed by the Holy Spirit to write all rather than some? If I truly love God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength, wouldn't I trust Him in all things to supply my good? And wouldn't this be His knowledge of what is truly Good, not my idea of what is good for me?

Or is he not the all-knowing god and in some areas, I'm smarter than he is? Well? Or will I trust Him, the All-knowing God, with all my heart, soul, mind and strength?
