ry 2014 1 Corinthians 1:4-7

I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, …so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift,

We, the Church, are not lacking in any spiritual gift even as the saints of Corinth were not lacking in Paul’s day. But like them, we find that we are infected with sin.

Reading this on the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade is a heart wrenching exercise. Where are the prayer vigils for the 56,000,000 precious lives snuffed out by the Sin of Moloch, by the God of Choice? For those women whose lives have been shattered by the guilt and trauma? Where the outreaches to those facing this decision? For the parents of teens involved in a pregnancy? Are we imitating the German Church standing quietly by as the Nazis imposed ethnic cleansing on 6,000,000 Jews plus 5,000,000 other undesirables?

Lord, bring revival to Your Church, bring obedience to Your Word, bring that Spirit of Love of Neighbor that builds the exercise of those gifts You have infused within us.
