Psalm 49:1-4

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Hear this, all peoples! Give ear, all inhabitants of the world, both low and high, rich and poor together! My mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding. I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will solve my riddle to the music of the lyre.

Lord, if my mouth is to speak wisdom, if the meditation of my heart is to be understanding, then You must prepare my heart and mind. You must open my ear to Your word and to the comprehension of Your riddles.

Psalm 48:12-14

Walk about Zion, go around her, number her towers, consider well her ramparts, go through her citadels, that you may tell the next generation that this is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever.

Your Body, in You, is a object of beauty and glory, reflecting You and showing You to the kingdom of Man. In its purity, it is a living demonstration of the transforming power of Your love and mercy. It is here to allow the world to see the possibilities, the promises at work, the joy, the peace, the righteousness that exist for those who live in Your kingdom. Lord, be with me today as I go, that I would be one of those messengers whose feet are blessed because they bring Good News.

Psalm 48:9-11

We have thought on your steadfast love, O God, in the midst of your temple. As your name, O God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with righteousness. Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of your judgments!

Your Goodness, Righteousness, Shalom, Justice, and Mercy are all contained in Love. You are the God of absolute, unconditional love. You are Love. You have offered Love freely to all, through Your sacrifice, asking only that I respond in love by living life as You have specified that I live in obedience to Your Word. And You, knowing full well my inability to be obedient in my feebleness, have provide the Helper to guide me into all Truth. You are truly the Awesome God.

Psalm 48:4-8

For behold, the kings assembled; they came on together. As soon as they saw it, they were astounded; they were in panic; they took to flight. Trembling took hold of them there, anguish as of a woman in labor. By the east wind you shattered the ships of Tarshish. As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God, which God will establish forever. Selah

Lord, we certainly are in a era where the Kingdom of Man is spinning into a death spiral as the nations' moral and ethical foundations crumble. This nation, the most powerful nation that has ever existed, is leading the charge, crying for more and more of the solutions of secularism, unable and unwilling to admit that this is a path of death. Lord, bring this nation to its knees in remorse and repentance; let Your voice be raised once again to carry the message of love, mercy and forgiveness.

Psalm 119:18

Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.

Lord, help me to find those wondrous in Your Word for all of life. Those "Here you are, my son, this is what you need to hear now" Scriptures. Retrieve Your Word from my memory where it has been being poured into for the last 20 years.

Psalm 48:1-3

A Song. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King. Within her citadels God has made himself known as a fortress.

Lord, I do need a renewed vision of Your Church in this vicinity. I need to see those jewels that decorate Your city, the believers, those chosen and obedient ones who seek to follow You with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. Many are hidden in the denominations, some in the prisons, some without overt association with others, but all seeking your face. Reveal us to each other, bring us together to encourage and exhort unto righteousness.

Psalm 47:5-9

God has gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm! God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne. The princes of the peoples gather as the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; he is highly exalted!

You are seated at the right hand of the Father; You do have all things under Your dominion; You are moving towards the complete establishment of Your Kingdom on earth; You are restoring Your Shalom; You are bringing all who will come into Your fold; You are Lord and Master of all Creation. You are King Jesus!

Psalm 47:1-4

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy! For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth. He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet. He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah

Lord, it is time to bring Your Church back to You and out of the culture around us. It is time to bring the cleansing fire of Your wrath to bear against the apostasy of the Church; it is time to recall us to our first love; it is time to bring us to our knees in repentance and remorse. We have sinned, Father, by accepting the gods of this world as our own, by not demanding holiness of ourselves. Cleanse us, Lord, bring us back under Your rule.

Psalm 46:10-11

"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

Be still, be still and know, be still and know that I am God. Be still! O how hard that is, Lord, to be still before You. I want to chatter, to blither, to make all my petty problems known to You (as if You were not already aware), and tell You how to fix them. But the directive is to be still and You will be with me. Teach me stillness! Give me a still heart! Quell my racing mind and let it focus on You. Then I will be aware of Your never failing presence in me. The Lord of hosts is with me!

Psalm 46:8-9

Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire.

Shalom, Your Peace is coming. You will put an end to the wars and rumors of wars, You will destroy the engines of war, You will cleanse the earth -- when Your Kingdom is revealed in all its Glory.

Psalm 46:7

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

Surrounded by Your love, nurtured by Your word, guided by Your Spirit, refreshed by Your joy, sustained by Your Truth, led into Your righteousness, I am living in the Kingdom.

Psalm 119:12

Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your statutes!

Lord, it is through Your statutes that I am blessed. You told Your disciples to teach me all the things that You had commanded and there is much that I still need to learn. Learning is such a superficial word, Lord, I need to take these commandments, all that You taught, and burn them into my mind, soul, conscience, heart, my very being. And they will only be so seared into my psyche by the power of the Holy Spirit. Bless me, Lord, bless me with this transformation into Your image.
